An opponent directly in front of you engages and tries to cut you with a nukitsuke or kirioroshi cut. To stop their attack, you perform a diagonal nukitsuke cut to their right wrist and chest as you move forward on your right leg.

Then, as they move backwards you pursue them maintaining pressure stepping right, left together whilst performing furikaburi and a kirioroshi strike to the head.

As they retreat further you continue to apply pressure, again stepping right, left together whilst performing furikaburi and a kirioroshi strike through the head to the body.

You push the opponent from your sword and step left foot back into jodan stance changing to chudan stance whilst maintaining control of the area.

Performing yoko-chiburi to the side you clean the blood from your sword before performing noto to return the sword to the saya.
