July Catch Up

Hi Everyone,

Again a little late with the monthly round up, this time i waited a week to space it out from the last which dropped very late, so back to normal next month.

Firstly the good news, Gradings are coming, October 20th is the date, and i look forward to seeing you all focus on some of the finer points and technical details that I and Tom will be looking for, remember sometimes the steps not always whatt you are being graded on, but depending on the grade you may be approaching then there will be certain important parts that are the focus..

I want to have Tom over and Tim down at the start of next year, February would be great again, but we will need to have the funds available for that, this will be a larger affair and a chance to sow off your technical prowess, remember seminars are a great way to pick up some really technical tips and pointers that they may impart which will improve all of our technique no end.

Also on that note I am hoping that we can pair up with the Broadland Aikido club to host a seminar with Sensei Philip Smith who teaches Shinto Munen Ryu, again a great chance to train with some very talented Sensei, Sensei Smith is one of the top Iaidoka in the country in his style, and a very nice guy, likewise Sensei Burlingham is a great Aikidoka and a great friend, who will happily throw us all around a mat (He is a little more cautious if we have a sword in hand of course :))

As we are in the summer the numbers have been down from normal, it is with a heavy heart that i find i will have to change and increase the fees for the club. I will let you all know how this impacts us over the next few days on the group whatsapp page...
